PortfolioExamples of past projects, demonstrating the services that we provide.Website Creation
In 2005 the European
Probation Service (CEP) turned to Web Design & Mastery when they
needed to update their website; since then we have redesigned it to
their specification and added new features, as well as still keeping
it up to date of course.
The CEP are based in the Netherlands, so this is a good illustration of how the internet has brought people closer together; we communicate by email and phone, and provide the same level of service as if they were located next door! ![]() Accessibility
Hackney Family Backup
(HFBU) came to us with
a design in mind - they just needed someone to create it for them, and
to make regular updates to their site. We were happy to oblige!
Accessibility is critical to them as they provide services for disabled children and their families, and we were able to produce the design they wanted in a manner that is accessible to their users. ![]() Website Overhaul
I was asked to overhaul the website of Cleanlinks Services for a partner organisation. The website
was written in poor English and needed optimising for search engines as well
as many other improvements. The original design concept was retained, but the
site was made more accessible, the content was proofread, and the code was
cleaned up and tweaked to improve search engine indexing.
![]() Interactive CDs
In 2006, EduAction (a local education authority) enlisted our help for an
interactive project which could be both used with a group in a classroom
and worked on by pupils independently at PC workstations. In order to be
platform-independent, a website format was chosen. This is provided on CD
so that no internet connection is needed, but can be clicked through and
explored in the same manner. We developed a "secret dossier" style interface
to accommodate the content provided (the story of September 11th and recent
history in the Middle East), and dependent on the pupil's ability, a different
version would be seen.
![]() Print Work
We have provided print services to Women's Therapy Centre in North London.
Our largest project for them was laying out a research paper into both a 103 page report and a 6 page summary, both in print-quality PDF as well as a version for their website. The results can be downloaded: Bits and Pieces of Me - 6 page summary and Bits and Pieces of Me - 103 page report. Copy Writing
We were asked to rewrite the content for an online pharmacy, as the owner
did not speak English as his first language.
As well as rewriting the text, we added a glossary of medical terms, so that customers will be better able to understand the services they offer. To see our work, please view the Weston Pharmacy website. |
"We are really delighted with our new website. Flash was extremely fast, friendly and helpful all the way through the process and went to great lengths to get the website just as we wanted. As complete novices to the world of website design, we were grateful to have a person who made the task run so smoothly.
Thank you very much!"
[Hackney Family Backup]
"Thank you so much for all your hard work on my behalf; you very quickly grasped the image I wanted to portray. I am really pleased with the website that was delivered earlier than I expected and on budget. Your extensive knowledge of websites and the legislation that affects them is impressive and led to a level of detail that I was not expecting. I literally could not have done it without you. It has been a real pleasure working with Web Design & Mastery."
