QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER
Issue 14 - January 2008
Happy New Year!
We hope that 2008 brings you all good luck, love and happiness.

Last October's AGM at the Vortex Jazz Club in Dalston was a smashing success with our guest Allan Ahlberg sharing his very popular children's stories, a musical performance by Brunon Rucinsky and a presentation of artwork created by you!
Shanice Hoffman got first place, Matthew Trew got second place, plus we had lots of fantastic entries who got runners-up.

It's Party Time!
Join us at our Half Term Party on FRIDAY, 22 FEBRUARY at TRINITY CENTRE, Beechwood Road, E8. Back by popular demand, we'll have the wonderful Potty Patrick who will be entertaining the children (and adults) with his music, tricks and balloon modelling. We will also have the sensory van again plus some massage treats for weary parents and carers! We will be sending out invitations closer to the time but keep the date free in your diary.

Toy Library Update!
Tess is now back from her sunny holiday and the Toy Library is back in action!
We will soon be starting an exciting new
project to add to our collection of toys, and are eager to have as much input from
children and families as possible. We will be consulting children at the half-term party, so come along to voice your toy ideas!
Although borrowing time for most toys is 3 months, the Nintendo Wii is available for strictly 1 month. This is because there is always a list of families waiting to have a turn. Of course you can go back on the
waiting list should you want to borrow it again later!
Carers, volunteers and parents:
Please give us your vouchers and expense claims for this
financial year BEFORE
the end of March!

Here is Emma's Charlie!
Isn't he handsome?
On Emma's behalf, we announce that she will not be
returning to work at HFBU. This was a very difficult
decision to make and she is sad to say goodbye.
Emma is continuing in her college course to be a children's counsellor and is very happy to be able to focus the rest of her energy on her family.
We will miss you, Emma!
