Half-term Party Pictures!
Our half-term party at Chats Palace was a great success and was
attended by a number of families, careres, volunteers and LOTS
of children! There were a number of activities, including the
excellent Potty Patrick, The Barking Dog Theatre Company,
a bouncy castle, face painting, massage for children and adults.
It seems that everyone enjoyed the day especially the lunch from
Peppers and Spice!
Thank you to all the parents who took the time to speak to Jeannie
about HFBU and told her what they thought of the services that we
provide. It's very important for us to get your ideas about the
services that you would like to have. So thank you again to all the
parents who took part.

Earn £50!!!!
Would you like to earn £50 in vouchers of your choice, if so
read on!
It became clear during our half-term event that parents really value our
services but felt they needed more support, especially from carers who can
provide lone care. We are asking carers, volunteers and parents to talk to
friends or people that they know about how wonderful and rewarding it is to
be a homesitter or overnight short break carer. If you successfully
introduce somebody to HFBU you will receive £ 50 worth of vouchers
when the carer is linked with a child. If you are a parent you will receive
the vouchers when a carer is linked to a child other than your own.
Depending on the interest generated by this incentive, we plan to have
an "open lunch" at HFBU so that potential carers can meet staff informally
to discuss possible roles within the organisation. So get talking to all
your friends and contacts! And watch this space!
